Getting a Loan - How it Works

1. You Apply for a Loan

The simple application process normally takes around 10 minutes and is completely FREE. You can read our Lending Criteria first so you know whether we can help you.

What documentation do I need?

We don't usually require any supporting documentation at this stage, and you certainly don't need to visit us - but we are always here if you prefer to speak to us in person.

In the cases where we do need supporting documentation, we will let you know upon completion of the online application.

2. We Process your Application and Contact You

Your online application is submitted to us instantly. We review it to make sure it meets our basic Lending Criteria, then begin processing.

Processing involves performing a credit checks on each person and checking any vehicle(s) and/or land provided as security.

Once we have processed the application, we contact you. We aim to contact you 1 to 2 hours after you submit the application (during business hours), but it can take a little longer at times -- especially around the busy lunchtime period.

At this stage we sometimes require further information or need to discuss some aspect of the application with you. If we need to talk to you, our local branch manager or agent will give you a call.

When the application is approved, we arrange for you to read and sign the loan documentation.

3. You Sign the Loan Documentation

Once your loan is approved, we will be in touch you to make an appointment for signing the documents. The signing can happen on the same day the loan is approved, or at a later date, at your convenience.

Many of our agents are also mobile, so they may even be able to travel to you.

If you don't live near one of our offices and we can't come to you, we can send the documents to you by courier. You then simply sign them in front of a witness, and return them to us by courier.

If you have any questions about the signing process we are always available to help -- you can call us toll free.  This process of signing yourself (without one of our agents present) usually takes a couple of extra days, so it's quicker and easier for you to visit one of our offices or agents if you can.

4. We give you the Money

We pay the cash funds into your bank account overnight. It's cleared funds, so as soon as it shows in your bank account it's ready for you to use straight away.

We are here to answer any questions you have about your loan or repayments.

Once you've been making payments for a while (usually around 50% of the loan term or at least 6 months), you can also talk to us about a loan top-up if you need it.
